Believe it or not, after Thanksgiving weekend there are only 15 businesses days left to mail back your petitions by our mail deadline of December 20th.
Previous petition campaigns have turned in tens of thousands of surplus signatures only to find that high disqualification rates caused them to not make the ballot — they missed the ballot by a small number fo signatures that came in days later.
Oregon conservatives have a bad habit of waiting to the last minute. Conservatives are not only late voters but they are late to turning in petitions. Getting a rush of petitions at the last minute is a processing nightmare.
