The campaign did early-turn in on signatures last week of 193,000 signatures for the gas tax referendum petition. Early turn-in allows the campaign to continue to gather signatures while the Elections Office begins verification.
The error rate of the current round one review process has been between 1% and 2%.
This is very low and a great sign for the campaign.
This first round of verification will continue for several days and then the more consequential round two will occur which is the statistical sampling which detects non-voters and duplicates.
