Last week, Governor Kotek’s Democrat Supermajority passed a $4+ Billion dollar tax increase on Oregonians. Senate Republicans were engaged in good faith discussions, submitted alternative legislation that would have allowed the use of existing ODOT budget resources for core maintenance and functions for road resilience and public safety, only to be dismissed by Governor Kotek.
My comments during a Press Conference:
Senate Republican Leader Starr, Representative Diehl and Mr. William’s are moving forward with a referral to the voters of Oregon to decide. As expected, Governor Kotek is delaying the signing of the tax increase legislation, to hinder the efforts to collect the needed number of signatures by the 90 day deadline.
Please visit https://notaxor.com to learn more and stay vigilant as we will need your help to get this on the ballot for Oregonians to decide if they want the Democrat’s increases in gas and payroll taxes, title and registration fees, and others.
Thank you for your efforts and support.
