As you know, Governor Kotek signed the $4.3 billion tax today. Within 60 minutes of her announcement, the team (Senator Bruce Starr, State Representative Ed Diehl, Jason Williams, Taxpayers Association of Oregon) filed paperwork at the State Election office to start the referendum petition to force this tax to go the ballot for a statewide public vote.
*** PLEASE NOTE *** The referendum petition approval paperwork process by the Election office can take between 1 to 3 days!
It could be anywhere from today Monday at 4:00pm to Friday at 4:00pm from when we have actual petitions approved to circulate.
Please be patient. Once the campaign is approved to circulate, we will sound the alarm and showcase everyone where to pick up petitions.
